Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for over 20 years. The stories she tells of her romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love are gaining her acclaim throughout the 21st century. Swift's interest in music began when she was a young age. From plays for children to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. Swift was just 11 when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. The following year, she began writing songs and got a guitar. Swift got inspiration from musicians from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to create original material which reflected the alienation she experienced at 13 years old. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania together with her parents, in Tennessee to Hendersonville when she was 13 years old to dedicate more time to reaching out to country labels.
